About Maureen Hyde

Maureen Hyde is an American artist who received her MFA from UCLA. She has traveled

to and lived in many places, teaching herself the craft of illustration and developing her style. The illustrator of many children's books, Maureen is now an instructor at The Florence Academy of Art in Italy, where her skill and style are soaring to new heights as she revives Old Masters' techniques.  Ms. Hyde has beautifully illustrated three books for Gingerbread House and is working on her fourth, about Saint Francis of Assisi, as a boy, titled Francesco Woke Up Early.
