Eva Montanari
Eva Montanari was born in Rimini, Italy in 1977, and now lives between Rimini and Milan. She graduated with high honors from both the State Institute of Applied Arts and from The European Institute of Design, in Milan.
An author and illustrator since 2000, Ms. Montanari’s books have been published in many countries, and have been translated into several languages. Her artwork has been selected for numerous prestigious exhibitions, and her distinctive characters once formed the entire backdrop for a Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
Besides her work in books, Eva has created illustrations for advertising, calendars, magazines, covers, posters, and even wallpapers.
Eva’s work has appeared has in both collective and solo exhibitions, in various countries.
Ms. Montanari prefers to with traditional techniques: pencils, chalks, oil paints, acrylic and she loves to create “polymateria” sculptures.
For the past ten years, Ms. Montanari has been presenting exciting illustration workshops for other artists, in Italy and abroad.
